Anti-Monster High stamp by 8ClockworkPurple8 Anti-Monster High stamp by 8ClockworkPurple8
Yes it's true, I don't like Monster High. However, I don't care if you like it or not, and I'll respect your opinions, if you respect mine.

So, why don't I like it? Well, I don't like my monsters as teenage stereotypes with stupid wangest/problems/situations/whatever. I hate the fact that the monster mythos is fucked up changed for the sake of being more like a teen entertainment then a show about monsters. I prefer them as dangerous creatures that strike terror in the hearts of men. I just think the whole "monsters as teens with usual teen problems" angel is pretty stupid. However, if you like the show, feel free to ignore this, just leave the people who hate/dislike it alone, kay?

I love the dolls, cause poor trash to get a ball joint, but the show is too valley girl, my idea was it would be goth to the extreme

I prefer EAH. It has a more interesting concept. MH is rather not suited for me, since I don't do paranormal stuff. Also, it's a bit cliched. I like the dolls though, and the designs.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing a kids show or movie about famous monsters attending high school as teenagers, if the monsters still kept their original designs and traits and the show was a balanced mixture of both comedy and dark elements. That probably would had been a better use for this concept.

But of course they had to turn it into a milk-to-death franchise about an all-female cast of tween anthropomorphic monsters who wear to much jewelry and make-up and are obsessed with shopping (because apparently all teenage girls are like that. Forget teen girls like me who prefer camping, cartoons, and Pokémon over fashion, the Vampire Diaries, and being "glamorous").

I don't personally mind the franchise itself though (aside from the fact that it keeps getting milked) since most girls will pretty much outgrow these toys when they get older. I remember when I was younger, I was OBSESSED with Littlest Pet Shop, Barbies and Polly Pockets, until I got older, felt like I outgrew them, stopped playing with them, and didn't buy them anymore. I now hate Barbie, respect Littlest Pet Shop for being a good franchise (I even still own my entire collection of pets :3), and am neutral towards Polly Pockets (I wonder if the franchise ever plans on making a comeback 0o.). Regarding that, it's funny that nowadays, even at 17 years old, I still love
Pokémon and cartoons to death! ^^

I know what you mean. The idea you had there sounds like something they should've done. I mean, not all teen girls care for make-up and fashion. Why don't they make it more diverse?
At least Ever After High had it right: Better to worry about your own path then your jewelry or what not.

As for your love of Pok'emon and cartoons, be proud of them! It's good that you love the stuff you love. :)

Thank you :)

And I don't think you are ever too old to enjoy stuff for little kids. I'm just not into LPS, Barbie, or PP anymore so that's why I stopped collecting them, but whoever still likes them regardless of age is free to enjoy them.

By the way, I would like to know your opinions on the movie "Hotel Transylvania" if you've watched it. In the movie, they portray all the monsters as not really that scary, but just misunderstood by humans, but it was mainly for laughs and they still had all their original designs and traits. Pretty much it does the same thing as Monster High does (turning famous monsters into mostly harmless beings) but it doesn't overly glamorize the monsters like this franchise does.

Living Dead Dolls is A LOT better than this pile of shit
LDD are dolls made to look like monsters, just like MH. But LDD makes them detailed to where they look THREATING, like they actually wanna murder you. But MH makes them kawaii pieces of garbage
I used to like MH, but now I hate them with a burning passion
I like it when people customize them and make them look Gorey and gross though

Ever after high is good though. Mostly cause it's a MUCH better choice when it comes to girls putting on makeup and having crushes on boys. Because you know of the fairy tales, pretty girls and handsome princes. But I think they based some of these on the ORIGINAL tales/grim tales,  cause I think the principal or whatever has Grim in his name. But sleeping beauty only has one daughter, but she should of had twins if you're gonna call the principal Grim.
Also it's got a good meaning, choose your life either by your own path or your parents. I like Raven cause her design has a gothic feel to it.

I know what you mean, with MH they worry about things like make-up and boys like it's a big deal (and besides, since they're monsters, shouldn't they have better things to worry? Like the werewolves freaking out on going bezeark under the full moon? or the vampire girl having to feed if she detests blood?) With EAH, not only is the make-up and boys are not important, they actually give out a good meaning like you said: follow your parent's path, or make your own.
I think they only based them on the fairy tale versions everyone knows; I don't know if anyone knows that version of Sleeping Beauty: with the birth of the twins and the prince/king's wicked and barren first wife or the ogre mother-in-law, some only know the popular one like the one from Disney.
And how can you NOT like Raven? With her being the first one to decide on making your own path, not wanting to be the next Evil Queen like her mom was, and having a wonderful style, she's awesome!

But I do enjoy Ever After High.

I know, Ever After High is the best! The fairy tale theme is great in itself, but the most awesome thing about it is the concept of destiny: To follow your parents footsteps or to make your own path. That's way better then what MH focuses on...
Are you a Royal or Rebel? ;)

Monster High. Because Dracula, Medusa, the Bride of Frankenstein, Wolfman, zombies, mummies, The Creature From the Black Lagoon, and gargoyles are desu kawaii teen girls who get into grossly stereotypical and unrealistic situations. :stare:

You're welcome! And I agree. They keep forgetting that these characters are monsters rather than sparkledog Barbie doll things. Or they could at least made it a trading card series with traits remiescent of classic horror films and Garbage Pail Kids (for some monsters such as Lagoona the swamp monster), you know.

That I don't know. I mean, if Person A makes a hate stamp or whatever of something Person B likes, why can't Person B ignore it? I mean really, we all have different opinions. Besides, just cause I like something like MLP for example, doesn't mean I cause trouble for those that hate it. I leave them alone and don't attack/spam/whatever for their own opinion. They have the right like/hate something just as much as you, I, and others have the right to like/hate something else.

I thank you for respecting my opinion, that's the point of this stamp: to respect someone's dislike for Monster High, even if you like it or not.
